Detailed itinerary

1

Shall we start this journey? Right away, our tour in Alter do Chao explores the wonderful Green lake, composed of 14 springs, among which we find the (***) Enchanted forest, a place worthy of our first stop to swim in a crystal-clear aquarium with countless fish. In addition to taking a beautiful canoe trip among submerged trees in a scenario like those of wild films, where we have the chance to watch birds and, with a little luck, even monkeys and sloths on the island of Tilheiro.

From the beginning, we are talking about beauty, sensations and love. Well, now you will see the postcard of Alter do Chao that involves all these elements and much more: We will visit the Isle of love, sailing slowly on both sides of a beach very well frequented by most of the people who visit this region. In the passage, you will see the native tents and our extensive beaches. We will also see Morro da Piraoca from the boat, a prominent geographical point, which at the top provides a fantastic 360-degree view.

We will continue seeing the Piranhas Lake (what a fear!) With real piranhas of various sizes, stopping farther down at Ponta do Cururu, a traditional crossing point, safe for a refreshing dip directly into the waters of the Tapajos River, in a stunning setting. Take the opportunity to record these moments, because it is worth it!

We will continue to Praia da Moça, our favorite stop, where we will have a delicious beach picnic with fresh fruits: watermelon, pineapple, banana, passion fruit, orange, apple, and coconut. Another beautiful scenery for photos, maybe walking on the beach of white sand or playing on giant rocks and swimming on a beach that looks like the sea

We will then sail to the Crocodile Lake and beach, one of the most beautiful lakes in the region, where nature is still in balance and harmony with otters, alligators, turtles and much beauty. You will have a few minutes of peace in this beautiful lake to reflect on the beautiful stops we made during the day (note: one of the sets of the children’s film TAINÁ III, more precisely the scene of the final battle in the film, was on the shores of the crocodile Lake).

There is more, much more! Now, we arrive at the wonderful Ponta de Pedras, which has visual uniqueness, combining beauty and tranquility to have lunch and rest on the beach before crossing the Tapajos River for our main attractions. If you want, we can also have lunch at Casa do Saulo, a tourist reference when it comes to the region’s restaurant, on top of a hill, looking out over the beautiful Tapajos River.

Jari Canal Amazon BrazilHere our tour becomes an adventure for your senses… It is extraordinary to see the Jari canal flooding our eyes with incredible landscapes, possibly alligators on the river’s edge (rest assured, they are very sociable!), Iguanas climbing trees, dozens of parrots flying over our vessel and perhaps fish jumping out of the water. We will stop at (****) Mr. Ederval, where we will take a private tour to observe monkeys, sloths and learn about the fauna and flora of the Jari canal. We will continue a few more kilometers through the canal to witness the sunset in this wonderful natural paradise
