Detailed itinerary

1

The Otaru Canal is a canal with a long history and a landmark of Otaru City, Hokkaido. A row of red brick warehouses are lined up along the canal, which is a symbol of Otaru City as the financial and economic center of Hokkaido, Japan. Due to the war, the industry declined and the canal lost its function, so half of the canal was filled in and used as a road. Today, these warehouse buildings have been converted into glass craft shops, teahouses, restaurants and large stores, becoming a tourist destination.

2

A commercial street close to the Otaru Canal, many people visit the two places together. Otaru Sakaimachi-dori Shopping Street is a major highlight of Otaru tourism. There are many shops along the way, including food, desserts, handicrafts, etc., as well as museums and art galleries. In addition to eating, shopping and sightseeing, there are also many historical buildings.

3

The largest music box specialty store in Japan, with more than 20,000 music boxes, is recommended for tourists who love to appreciate and collect.

4

Otaru City is very suitable for winemaking due to its geographical and climatic advantages. Tanaka Sake Brewery Kikkozo is a famous local historical building and a well-known brewery. The winemaking process is open to tourists free of charge, and tourists also have the opportunity to taste various Japanese sake.

5

Otaru Sankaku Market is a representative market with a constant flow of people. Here you can buy high-quality and low-priced seafood and taste seafood rice bowls.

6

Otaru Blue Cave is a sea cave famous for its unique natural landscape. The interior of the cave is illuminated by sunlight, and the seawater presents a charming blue glow, like a mysterious blue paradise. Visitors can enter the cave by boating or taking a tour boat to enjoy the blue light reflections inside the cave and the peculiar shapes of the ocean rocks. The scenery here is like a dream, and it is a great place to take pictures and enjoy the natural wonders. The total duration in Tour details includes the time spent on transportation.
