Stop 1 Pass by

Your private local licensed guide will pick you up at your accommodation/port in Syracuse, and you will start your wonderful private travel to the highest active volcano in Europe. Driving by comfortable, air-conditioned car through the small authentic mountain villages, you will admire unforgettable picturesque views of Sicilian countryside full of oranges and lemon plantations, olives and almond trees, houses and churches built of lava stone. Enjoying amazing sea view and lava fields, you will arrive to a charming mountain town Zafferana Etnea, where you will visit local honey store and taste the produce of the fertile volcano land - honey, olive oils, olives, wines and liquors.
We recommend wearing comfortable closed-toe shoes and bringing extra layers, such as something warm and a windbreaker or rain jacket, to be prepared for changing weather conditions.

Stop 2

You will continue to ascend Etna reaching "Rifugio Sapienza" station at 2000mt. Here you will visit famous Silvestri Craters, admire breathtaking panoramas, visit souvenir shops offering gifts of lava, refresh yourself in some bar or restaurant.
Optional ascent by cable car/4X4 with an authorized Alpine guide to 3000mt.
After visiting Mt.Etna, the guide will chauffeur you in relax to one of the best wineries on Etna slope. At the winery you will have will have a tour of the estate, see how the grape is growing, and visit the cellars, while the expert sommelier explains you all about the wine making process and the history of this family run winery. Then you will have traditional delicious lunch of locally produced cheeses, salami, prosciutto, fresh bread, olives and olive oil and a typical pasta dish. A professional sommelier will offer you 4 glasses of Sicilian Etna red and white wines.
After your private tour, your guide will drop you off at your accommodation or port in Siracusa.
