Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Bairro da Graça is one of Lisbon's most traditional neighborhoods and manages to retain its picturesque atmosphere even today. The residents of this neighborhood coexist with tourists, who come to this place in search of the soul and tradition of a typical Lisbon neighborhood

2
Stop 2

Alfama is one of Lisbon's most genuine neighborhoods. Its architecture has peculiar characteristics of old and colorful buildings that give it a character of joy and tranquility. Strolling through the Alfama district is an invitation to get lost in some extremely charming alleyways. Easy to get lost, even easier to find!
Alfama is one of Lisbon's oldest neighborhoods and was founded by the Arabs who gave it the name "Al-hama", which means "source of hot waters, good waters". You can't have a genuine experience in Lisbon without getting lost in the alleys and charms of this neighborhood, which is considered the heart of the city. Wandering through Alfama's narrow, cluttered alleyways, you'll feel like you're in a small village and witness conversations between neighbors, hear fado echoing down the staircases and even see the Tagus in another dimension.

3
Stop 3

The Padrão dos Descobrimentos (Monument to the Discoveries) is an imposing monument located in Belém, next to the Tagus River, built to pay homage to the Portuguese navigators of the Age of Discovery. Inaugurated in 1960, on the 500th anniversary of the death of Prince Henry the Navigator, it takes the form of a caravel stylized with historical figures such as Vasco da Gama, Fernão de Magalhães and other explorers. From the top, there is a breathtaking panoramic view over Lisbon, the river and the surrounding monuments.

4
Stop 4

Located in Belém, the Jerónimos Monastery is one of Portugal's most important historical monuments and an icon of the Manueline style. Built in the 16th century, it commemorates the Age of Discovery and was commissioned by King Manuel I to honor Vasco da Gama's return from India. With details carved in stone, stunning cloisters and an imposing church, the monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of the splendor of Portuguese architecture.

5

Mouraria is one of Lisbon's most traditional and multicultural neighborhoods and is still a typical Lisbon neighborhood, with its own characteristics, traditions and customs and, above all, its unique people.

6
Stop 6

The Belém Tower, built at the beginning of the 16th century, is one of Lisbon's most emblematic monuments. Erected on the banks of the River Tagus, combining Manueline and Gothic elements, it was originally designed to defend the entrance to the port of Lisbon. Over the centuries, it served military, customs and even prison functions. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of the Portuguese Age of Discovery.

7
