Stop 3

The Phnom Kulen National Park is a national park in Cambodia that is located in the Phnom Kulen mountain range in Siem Reap Province. It was founded in 1993 and encompasses 373.76 km2 (144.31 square miles). Its official name is Jayavarman-Norodom Phnom Kulen National Park, with the primary attractions being its waterfall, the Thousand Lingas at Kbal Spean, and the reclining Buddha of Preah Ang Thom temple. At here, partcipants need to paid their entry fee as required by the local government.

4

The waterfall is very tall and gorgeous even during the 'dry' season. Excellent for swimming and very safe. Fish will nibble your feet! Explore the lush scenery surrounding Kulen Waterfall. Take a dip if you want, or simply sit back and watch the native people enjoy their holy homeland. Enjoying the quiet atmosphere and cool waves, which made it an ideal location for relaxation and photography.

5

An 8-meter-tall (26-foot) statue of the reclining Buddha attaining nirvana. The statue is cut into a massive natural sandstone boulder, which has been enhanced with a modern staircase and a shelter for the Buddha. It is a highly sacred and significant spot for all Cambodians, and there are always patrons visiting it, which can get pretty busy at times. There are numerous souvenir stalls on the streets surrounding the pagoda, and before the stairs there is a huge naga balustrade and an entrance arch flanked by elephants (all contemporary). When you arrive at the pagoda's entryway, you can remove your shoes, say your blessings, and go up the stairway to the big Buddha.

6

Around 800 AD, a thousand Lingas were carved into the river bedrock. A calm river walk displays Lingas of all sizes. The site is made up of a succession of stone rock relief carvings in sandstone formations along the river bed and banks. It is also known as the "Valley of a 1000 Lingas" or "The River of a Thousand Lingas." The motifs for stone carvings are primarily lingams (phallic symbols of Hindu god Shiva) represented as neatly organised bumps on the surface of a sandstone bed rock, as well as lingam-yoni designs.

7

Known as Known as the "Amazing Cliff," this easily accessible location atop Kulen Mountain offers breathtaking views of the canyon that lies between the mountain ranges below. A foot track and a small parking area connect to the location, which is accessible from the main road on the opposite side of the mountain.
