Detailed itinerary

1

If you want to discover more than just the coast and enjoy as a true hedonist, head with us to the heartland of Montenegro. We have prepared for you an experience to remember during which you will have the opportunity to try some of Montenegro's finest wines and enjoy the beautiful nature of Skadar Lake National Park.

After the departure from your hotel, we will drive to our first destination for approximately 2 hours of travel time.

First, we will visit a family-owned winery in the heart of the most famous Montenegrin wine region of Crmnica. Enjoy a generous wine tasting comparing different types of wine aged in large barrels, and benefit from the expertise and knowledge of the resident winemaker.

2

The fishing village of Virpazar is a departure point for a boat ride on Skadar Lake. As you glide through the mirroring water, the numerous lake's attractions reveal the extraordinary birds, the water lilies in full bloom, and wild, secluded beaches.

Skadar Lake has an area ranging from 370 to 530 square kilometers, depending on the water level, and it is the biggest lake in the Balkans.

3

Next, make your way to the second wine tasting of the day organized in the stunning ambiance of another family-run winery.

Enjoy a selection of wines produced in this region with a unique microclimate. It is the place of origin of Vranac, the autochthonous Montenegrin variety of grapes growing in the Skadar Lake valley since the 14th century.

4

Before our ride back, we will visit a 15th-century Besac Fortress, where you will have free time for lunch, coffee, or another glass of wine.

5

On our way back to the hotel, you will have the opportunity to take the best photo of your stay in Montenegro above the charming St. Stefan Islet.

Depending on the hotel area, the drive back will take approximately 1-2 hours of travel time.
