1) Modern interactive Museum
In the Museum, you will find perfectly selected exhibitions with the use of the most modern technology that will help you learn the meaning of petroglyphs (rock paintings). In 11 exhibition halls, (the Halls are equipped with 3D panoramas, touch screens) there is a huge collection of priceless historical exhibits, interesting for both adults and children.
2) An open air Museum
In mountains of Gobustan Beyukdash there were concentrated witnesses of the past of azerbaijanian nation of the epoch of Stone Age and ongoing periods – rocky paintings, camp of man, tombstones and etc. The most significant of them are rocky pictures – petroglyphs, carved by primitive men on walls of caves, rocks and stony lumps. The aforesaid primitive monuments of art reflect culture, economy, world outlook, customs and traditions of ancient azerbaijanian peoples.

Mud Volcanoes
Just a short drive from Gobustan, witness a surreal lunar landscape where Azerbaijan’s famous mud volcanoes bubble and gurgle. This is one of the few places in the world where you can get up close to these fascinating natural formations — a fun and rare photo opportunity.

Ateshgah Fire Temple
Step into the ancient world of fire worship at the Ateshgah Temple, a 17th-century fire sanctuary built by Hindu and Sikh merchants. This pentagonal stone complex was constructed on land where natural gas once ignited spontaneously, creating “eternal flames.” It remains one of the country’s most iconic spiritual landmarks.

Yanardag – The Burning Mountain
Your tour ends with a visit to Yanardag, Azerbaijan’s legendary burning hillside. Here, natural gas escaping from underground continuously fuels flames that rise along the slope — a striking and otherworldly sight, especially around sunset. It’s a true symbol of the Land of Fire.
