filmed in the Clonbur area of Connemara.
Take a stroll to the historic Kylemore Abbey built by Mitchel Henry in 1868 for his wife Margaret and family, view the Victorian decor and listen to the audio reciting the life of the Henry family. Travel on a shuttle bus to the Victorian walled gardens and feast your eyes on the 6 acres of beautiful flowers and plants. Our clients also love to walk into the 14th century style neo Gothic church which Mitchel built for his wife Margaret. Finally browse through the gift shop and purchase delicious sauces, jams and chocolates made by the Benedictine order of nuns who have lived at Kylemore Abbey since the early 1900's.
Take a hike on the beautiful Diamond hill in Connemara National Park which is 442 metres in height and will be between 1-3 hours in duration to climb depending on how high you would like to walk up this magnificent hill. Most of our clients prefer to hike for one hour.
We pick up our clients at a hotel, bed & breakfast or apartment in Galway city.
All admission fees for any locations that you visit on tour are not included in the day tour price. The day tour price includes the hire of the vehicle, driver guide and bottled water. The day tour price also excludes meals and gratuities.
