Guangzhou is a bustling city with an old area preserving traditional Cantonese culture, this 3.5-hour walking tour will let you explore the old Xiguan area on foot to indulge into local life with our local guide, and learn the background and history from your local guide. You will view the Lychee Bay, Xiguan old house, Liwanhu Park, Yong Qing Fang, Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, and Shamian Island where the trip concludes. Moreover, you will taste a local snack at a local restaurant. Meet outside, Exit A, Zhongshanba Station on Metro Line 5. Centrally located Guangzhou hotel (Liwan, Yuexiu, Tianhe, Haizhu districts are central area)pickup is an optional choice(drop off is not included). There are two departures 9am and 2pm in a day.

At 9am or 2pm, meet your guide outside Exit A, Zhongshanba Station, Metro Line 5 with your nameplate. Then you will start your walking tour with your guide to Renwen Temple which is a typical Taoism temple. Afterwards you visit Liwanhu Park where local people dance, sing and play games. Lychee Bay is a place for the well-preserved old Xiguan houses that used to be the home for rich people. Walking along the Duobao Road and En'ning Road, you will be amazed by the local life, the busy market, the old shops, and the snack street etc.that are a mirror to reflect the traditional Cantonese lifestyle. Moreover, you will taste a local snack at a local restaurant.
You will also visit the popular Yong Qing Fang, and Canton Opera Museum(close on Mondays) with your guide.
Then you will head to Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street before moving to Shamian Island, a nice place with old houses by the Pearl River. When the tour concludes, your guide will help you get a taxi or metro back to your hotel.
