Nowadays Pamplona is a University city famed for the colorful celebrations of San Fermin.

The bull run called ‘encierro’ is a spectacular event that involves hundreds of people running in front of a herd of bulls down the narrow streets of the Historic Part of Pamplona. After having watched the event we will leave our balcony and walk all the way (around half mile) from Corrales de Santo Domingo where the run starts to the bullring where the run finishes. During San Fermin the city looks incredible. The party doesn’t stop for a week but for many locals, morning is the most important and enjoyable time of the day.
