Siem Reap offers a unique opportunity to interact with friendly locals in our villages, which are nestled amidst countless paddy fields. It's the perfect place to explore Cambodia's rural lifestyle.
Pickup included
After breakfast, you will be picked up by a tuk-tuk (motorized trolley) and taken on a leisurely journey through our local villages, observing local activities along the way.
Your first stop will be the Preah Dak Village, which is 16 kilometers from Siem Reap city. Here, you will walk along the rice paddies and have a chance to see farmers working in their fields with their water buffaloes. You will also visit a local village, where you can meet the residents and learn about their way of life. You may even get a chance to try some traditional Cambodian food, such as palm cakes.
Later in the morning, you will have the opportunity to learn how to make Khmer noodles, a traditional Cambodian dish. This process involves several steps, including preparing the rice noodles, creating the sauce, and assembling the final dish. You will then have a chance to taste your own noodles before heading back to your hotel at approximately 12:30 PM.
Depart for Siem Reap and drop off at the hotel or old market.
Note:
A real highlight of this day will be the beautiful rural scenery (especially green between June and January), and the chance to experience some of Cambodia's rural culture. Some parts of your journey will take you along unsealed (at times bumpy) roads, but this is all part of the adventure!
- Exact pickup time to be advised one day before tour start
