About this experience

Half-day trip to the northeast of Crete, visiting the impressive Melidoni Cave, the traditional pottery village of Margarites, and the historic Arkadi Monastery. Short stop for photos at the scenic Potamon Dam before returning to Rethymno around 15:00.

Detailed itinerary

This tour takes us to the north-eastern part of crete. we start our trip heading east to our first stop at melidoni cave. we will have time to visit the cave, enjoy a coffee with magnificent view of the valley of melidoni village.

Then we move south to margarites village, where we stop at a pottery workshop. we will have the opportunity to observe how traditional handmade pottery is made.

Our next stop will be the famous arkadi monastery, where we as well have time for coffee or lunch

finally we head towards our last stop with magnificent view at well-known damn fragma potamon for a photo stop.
