We offer you a short but very interesting trip west of Rethymno. First we go to Argiroupolis. This is a traditional village perched on a mountain side, known for its architecture and glorious past. You have an hour there to stroll around, enjoy the view or relax in a local coffee shop.
The next stop is the only natural sweet water lake in Crete. We have one hour and thirty minutes to explore Kournas lake. You can swim there or rent a pedal boat for even more fun.
Finally we get to Georgioupolis. It is a pleasant seaside resort with many options how to spend your two and a half hours of free time. You can enjoy it on the beach in the sunshine, or walk along the river in the shade of huge eucalyptus trees. There are numerous cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops and some quiet areas to walk around as well.
