About this experience

The Hasso Plattner's collection at the Museum Barberini spans the arc from the 1860s to the early 20th century and brings together works from three generations of artists.

Based on eight central themes, the collection offers the opportunity to understand the development of French landscape painting in the styles of Impressionism, Neo-Impressionism, and Fauvism.

With your Museum Barberini tickets, you can check out several rotating temporary exhibitions during your visit, featuring artists ranging from Van Gogh and Richter to Picasso and Monet.

The Impressionists, Neo-Impressionists, and Fauvists revolutionized painting with light-filled landscapes, breaking free from traditional pictorial themes.

They captured fleeting sensory impressions as directly as possible on canvas, inspiring later artists such as the Fauvists.
