About this experience

A full day tour of the American sector on D-Day, with a visit to Sainte Mere Eglise, Utah Beach, the 100 feet cliffs and German gun positions at Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and we will pay our respects at the Normandy American Cemetery before returning back to the cruise ship. At most sites there will be some free time to take pictures.

OUR FIRST STOP AFTER PICK UP WILL BE SAINT MERE EGLISE WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE CHURCH AND HEAR THE STORY OF JOHN STEEL WHO GOT STUCK ON THE CHURCH TOWER AND THE FATE OF THE BRAVE MEN OF THE 82ND AIRBORNE WHO LANDED IN TOWN. YOU WILL HAVE SOME FREE TIME TO WALK AROUND AND SEE THE MEMORIALS THAT ARE AROUND THE TOWN SQUARE.

THERE ARE NUMEROUS MEMORIALS HERE TO SEE THAT HONOR THE MEN THAT LANDED AND FOUGHT HERE.
SEE WERE THE 4TH DIVISION CAME ASHORE AND HEAR WHY THERE WERE FAR LESS CASUALTIES COMPARED WITH OMAHA BEACH.
THERE IS ALSO A MUSEUM ON THIS BEACH .

SEE FOR YOURSELF WHY THIS BEACH WAS CALLED 'BLOODY OMAHA '

THE BEACH WHERE THE 1st INFANTRY DIVISION AND THE 29th INFANTRY DIVISION LANDED.

YOU WILL HAVE SOME FREE TIME TO WALK AROUND AND TAKE PICTURES.

ARRIVING AT THE AMERICAN CEMETERY YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE AND VISIT THE GRAVES OF 9388 MEN AND WOMEN THAT GAVE THEIR LIVES DURING THE NORMANDY CAMPAIGN.
BEHIND THE MEMORIAL IS THE GARDEN OF THE MISSING THERE IS ALSO A VISITOR CENTRE TO VISIT.
