Serra de Santa Bárbara is located in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo, in the extreme west of Terceira island. It consists of the remains of an inactive volcano - the largest on the island - which rises to 1,021 meters above sea level. For this reason, it is still the largest cloud dew point on the island, forming its own hydrographic basin.
