The tour of Lagoons & Volcanoes is a combination of two activities ( a walking trail and afternoon minivan tour with focus on the volcanology aspect) with lunch with drinks included, in a total of 8 hours of tour.
Enjoy the morning part through the hiking trail of Mistérios Negros, a 5-kilometer walk that stands out for its extreme natural beauty, be it lagoons and cryptomeria forests or endemic vegetation (Azoric), or even volcanic landscape.
Its level of difficulty is medium, with ap. 100 mt, in an irregular terrain. In the afternoon part you're invited to visit the interior of an empty volcano, walk through a fumarolic field, explore the interior of the lava tunnel of Gruta do Natal, and stroll through the natural pools in the parish of Biscoitos.
We inform that the stop of Algar do Carvão is closed since October, and will be for 18 months, due to construction works in their visitors center.

The Mistérios Negros Hiking Trail is located on the interior part of the island. We start the tour by doing this hiking trail, it is of medium/difficult level of difficulty, on terrain with some flat parts, and a maximum altitude of 100 meters, and a length of approx. 5km.
