Detailed itinerary

1

The tour departs from the Leeward Marine to the south side of the Island. Along the route you will see the Conch Farm. Turks and Caicos was home to the world’s first and only commercial conch farm before it was damaged during hurricane Irma.

2

Half Moon Bay is a pristine three-quarter mile (1200 meter) beach that's found between the uninhabited islands of Little Water Cay and Water Cay. Essentially a sand bar that grew over time, this beach is about 400 feet (110 meters) wide, and today the central dune supports light vegetation and casuarina trees.

From about 1960 into the 1990s, a channel actually existed where Half Moon Bay is now between Little Water Cay and Water Cay. Created by Hurricane Donna, this feature gradually filled in overtime and all water movement stopped by 1999. Half Moon Bay Lagoon on the south side of the beach is largely formed from what used to be the channel.

3

Pine Cay is named after a small forest of endemic Caicos Pines (Pinus caribaea var. bahamensis, a subspecies of the Caribbean Pine) that surrounds the interior fresh water ponds.

Situated in the string of cays between Providenciales and North Caicos, Pine Cay is privately-owned and has low density residential development. The main feature of the cay is its spectacular two-mile long north coast beach, which definitely ranks as one of the top beaches in the country. Pine Cay offers a very quiet and laid-back atmosphere.

4

Long Bay is an incredible three-mile-long (4.8 km) beach on the southeast side of Providenciales. The water at this popular coast is a breathtaking turquoise, with shallow depths leading off for a very great distance off the beach. Like nearly all beaches in the Turks and Caicos, the sand at Long Bay is white with perfect consistency.

5

As a part of our guest experience we visit the iconic shipwreck "La Famille Express", originally a Soviet Union ship used to service oil rigs before being decommissioned in 1992.

In 1999, the ship was resigned for freight in Panama, where it got its infamous name.
