Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1 Pass by

This San Sebastian bike adventure begins in the historic street of Reyes Católicos. After meeting your guide and getting acquainted with your new wheels, we’ll head towards historic Buen Pastor Cathedral

2

First bridge built in the city with historical information. Perfect place to appreciate some emblematic buildings of the city for their spectacular architecture and see how the city has been growing over the decades.

3

Next, we’ll glide through one of the city’s busiest and hippest neighbourhoods: Gros. Here, we’ll take time to mingle with the locals and we’ll show you where to find the best people-watching spots. At Cataluña Plaza you’ll learn about life in the city, as you’re guide talks about the cost of living in this popular local neighbourhood.

4

As you cycle, we’ll enjoy stunning views of the Bay of Biscay and admire the brave surfers along Zurriola beach

5

We will also pass by one of the most important and controversial buildings in San Sebastián, Kursaal — boasting a glamourous history.

6

An emblematic building that separates the old town from the new part.

7

Spectacular view of the city and the ocean.

8
Stop 8

We’ll follow the contemporary boulevard that separates the Old Town from the new part of the city and head towards La Concha beach, one of Europe’s most beautiful beaches where we’ll stop to appreciate the views. Learn why there are so many small trees in this area, and how a local legend connects San Sebastián with Japan.

9
Stop 9 Pass by

The bidegorri bike path is next; we’ll follow the route along La Concha beach up to the palace of Miramar, before arriving at one of the locals’ favourite beaches in the city: Ondarreta.

10

Enjoy the view of the city from another side and see some art of contemporary artists.

11

From there, your San Sebastián sightseeing bike tour takes you to the end of the bay, where nature meets civilisation. Discover some Basque modern art before veering through one of the city’s oldest, most authentic neighbourhoods and toward a “secret passage” that connects two parts of the city. Ride through districts that show the many faces of San Sebastián, from the workers’ city to the aristocratic belle époque of the past.

12

Follow the Urumea River back to the city centre, passing villas and bourgeois palaces.

13

Our tour ends here. If you are hungry, Reyes Catolicos is a great place to find some food. Or join our Pintxo tour! Before you go, don’t forget to ask your expert local guide.
