This is a day full of contrasts. We start our day driving through the ever green and rich ranchland of the Tarqui Valley. The first stop will be at one of the most important historical places of the independence battles. From here you will be able to appreciate the beautiful Andes landscape.
Next, we will reach the waterfalls of El Chorro de Giron, an amazing area of cloud forest covered in bromeliads, orchids and soft green moss. Here, you will hike through the lush vegetation to reach the cascades, a 250 foot high waterfall.
Then we will driver to Busa lake where we will do a short hike around the rim where you will be able to enjoy the beautiful views.
We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant and return to Cuenca.
