About this experience
Come and admire the Piton de la Fournaise by private vehicle with driver: it is one of the most active volcanoes in the world!
The day will make you discover beautiful and unmissable places of Reunion. We will pass through the Plaine des Cafres, a large plateau of altitude with green pastures, then through the forest of the volcano and its mysterious atmosphere. Let’s take a break at the Rivière des Remparts to admire its vertiginous cliffs.
We will then cross the Plain of Sands: a gigantic sandy expanse like we could find on Mars. Then we finally stand in front of the Piton de la Fournaise volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the world!
On the way back, we will visit the Volcano City to understand everything about volcanism in Réunion.

We will first cross the Plain of Cafres, a green space of tranquility, in the middle of cows and meadows.

A must-see stop at the Nose of Beef to admire the magnificent panorama of the immense valley of the "River of the Ramparts".

We will stop at Commerson Crater: it is an ancient volcanic crater created 2000 years ago!

We then continue our journey to the beautiful Plain of Sands: a volcanic desert plain thousands of years old. It's like Mars.

We arrive at the Pas de Bellecombe: facing us the imposing volcano of Piton de la Fournaise culminating at 2632 meters of altitude. It is one of the most active volcanoes in the world!

Bourg Murat is where we have lunch: traditional Creole meal or fast food - meal price not included in the tour price

Through this fun family museum, you will understand and learn a lot of exciting information about the volcano and its origins! A 4D cinema screening is also possible.
