About this experience

We will start with a stop at the Langevin Waterfall where you will admire one of the most beautiful waterfalls of Réunion.

We will then reach Cap Méchant: the raging waves collide with the cliffs of unshakable verticality. This is where we will have lunch.

We will then take the Lava Route and cross the old cooled lava flows: we are in the heart of the volcano!

Continue on our way to discover the church “Our Lady of Lavas”, which miraculously survived a lava flow in 1977.

Then let’s end our day with a visit to Anse des Cascades: a picturesque bay decorated with many waterfalls and palm trees.

Detailed itinerary

1

First step: the Grand Galet waterfall (Langevin). It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls on the island, probably the largest and most emblematic: a postcard that will delight you!

2

We arrive at "Cape Wicked". The black rocks of cooled lava flow into the blue ocean. The raging waves come up against the cliffs of unshakable verticality. You can feel all the power of nature through breathtaking landscapes - a must. This is where we'll have lunch.

3

After lunch, we continue our adventure by taking the lava road. The lava flows from the large volcanic eruptions came down the slopes and into the ocean. Rivers of solidified black rock now remain, preserving the shapes and vicissitudes of past molten magma. This site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

4

The Church of Our Lady of Lavas is a remarkable religious building that miraculously survived a lava flow in 1977.

5

Anse des Cascades is a picturesque and ravishing bay adorned with numerous waterfalls and coconut trees. A very pleasant walk awaits you!
