Departure and return in the gardens in front of the Art Nouveau style building "la Gare du Midi", a former imperial railway station frequented by Napoleon III. built in 1911 to serve the city center of Biarritz, far from the Négresse station. Closed to rail service in 1980. The former passenger building was transformed into an "art and leisure centre" which was inaugurated in 1990.
Renamed “Palais des Festivals” in 1992, it has since been renamed “Gare du Midi”.
