Detailed itinerary

1

Meeting point at Biarritz Lighthouse, to have a short introduction to our tour and Biarritz, before starting the tour!

2

We will explore Biarritz, a renowned imperial city, also famous for its surf culture. We will drive through the beautifull streets adorned with magnificent palaces and villas, immersing yourself in the history of this former harbor turned European aristocratic summer retreat in the mid-19th century. Take a nostalgic journey to the 60's at the "Côte des Basques" beach, where the inaugural European surf waves were conquered!

3

Heading south along the beautiful coastal sceneries, the tour takes you the tiny and authentic village of Guéthary, famous for whales hunting in the 14th century.
Delve into the tales and activities of its whaling past. Stroll through the timeless dry-deck harbor, unchanged for ages, and immerse yourself in the essence of Basque fishing culture (includes a stop with a walk thought the village).

4

A few kilometers in the south, explore the rebellious city of Saint Jean de Luz, known for its Pirates’ stories. Did you know that Louis XIV, “Le Roi Soleil” chose this authentic harbor for its wedding? After an introduction to the city, follow your guide to unravel the mysteries behind the renowned “Basque Cake” in a local pastry shop!

5

How could we end this tour without driving along the famous Basque Corniche, where the secrets of these breathtaking cliffs await. Encounter our local giant, the 18-meter Belharra wave, which comes to life once a year!
