Learn about the life cycle of the penguins and their interesting social life. Get up close and take great selfies with the penguins up close. This is an ideal location for a group photo. The surroundings of the penguin colony are so picturesque it is nestled at the foot of Red hill mountain.

In this garden is a curio shop which has the most valuable stone sculptures in the country. Look out for the works of the internationally famed stone sculpture from Zimbabwe Chapungu. Drive by this world renowned hospital which in the books of history as having carried out the first ever human heart transplant in the World. A feat done by Dr Christian Baarnad and a team of 12 other doctors in December 1967.

This is the biggest hospital in the western Cape province and currently has turned that room into a museum. The hospital is currently functional but part of it is being used as a medical school by the University of Cape Town.
