Real Maderia Classic – For those who want to enjoy a 4×4 ride with more COMFORT & RELAXATION

2

On board our Jeep, the trip starts from Funchal to Poiso at 1412mts of altitude, passing by Montado do Pereiro (protected Natural Área), always with its beautiful bay in the background. Along the way we can contemplate very dramatic views and a breathtaking landscape over the south and north side of the island.

We will to cross the old town with very narrow roads.

3

After crossing the natural park, we will arrive at Poiso, at an altitude of 1400 meters.

After crossing the densest forest and arriving at Poiso, we will continue to climb towards Pico Areeiro. After exceeding 1400 meters of altitude, we will then be able, along the entire climb, to contemplate a more panoramic landscape until we reach the top of the mountain

4

Visit Pico do Areiro, the third-highest peak on the island, 1811 m above sea level. There are usually very dramatic mountain views and sometimes we’re above the clouds! We will take some time to discover the area, explore some of the hidden gems.

Pico do Arieiro is part of the dramatic mountain scenery of the interior of Madeira

5

Miradouro do Juncal - Situated on Madeira’s third highest peak, Juncal viewpoint is one of the best sunrise spot in Madeira.

Make sure you don’t forget your camera as you could get some really unique photos from above the clouds.

6

After Pico Areeiro we'll start our slow descend through the panoramic road to the Nuns valley

On the way we will make another stop to enjoy an amazing view

7

Miradouro do Paredão (1500m) - It offers visitors excellent panoramic views over the municipality of Funchal and the emblematic parish of Curral das Freiras

8
Stop 8

Eira do Serrado (1095m) - offers an unobstructed view of the parish of Curral das Freiras, surrounded by the grandeur of Madeira's characteristic green mountains.

We need to make a walk to reach the view point

If it`s not clear higher than 1300m, we will depart from Funchal directly to Eira do Serrado view point.

9
Stop 9

Pico dos Barcelos - The large valley that serves as a natural amphitheatre for Funchal, on one side, and the calm sea that bathes the south coast of Madeira, on the other: this is what you can see from the Pico dos Barcelos Viewpoint.

Located in the parish of Santo António - home to the 'Andorinha' football club, which kick-started Cristiano Ronaldo's career - this observatory is at an altitude of 355 metres and is ideally positioned for visitors to enjoy peaceful views of Funchal's urban landscape, particularly its bay.

Pico dos Barcelos Viewpoint also allows you, on days when the visibility is good, to see the Desertas Islands, a group of three small volcanic islands: Ilhéu Chão, Deserta Grande and Bugio. This is, of course, a magnificent and memorable panoramic view.
