Aso Volcano-Nakadake Crater is free to explore, though other ticket fees are not included. If entry to the crater is banned due to volcanic activity, the itinerary will be adjusted accordingly. In case of restrictions, the visit to Kusa Senri will be extended to 90 minutes.

Its perfect, symmetrical cone shape, covered in lush green grass during spring and summer, makes it a striking sight against the surrounding volcanic landscape. Rising about 80 meters, the hill’s smooth, rice-bowl-like appearance stands out, creating a peaceful contrast to the rugged terrain of Mt. Aso.
