Tickets to Salzburg Cathedral will be purchased on the spot. The Cathedral is usually open from Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm, and on Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm, but this will vary because church tours during scheduled events (church services, concerts) are limited.
