We'll begin our walking tour in Kurgarten, only few steps away from the magnificent Mirabell Palace. Our Expert Guide will lead the group of up to 25 participants to the ornamental Mirabell Gardens and show us the locations where the Sound of Music was filmed. It’s a must-see for every fan of music!
Next, we'll head to the historic Old Town, admiring the views over the Salzach River along the way. We'll pass Mozart’s former residence and Mozart’s Birthplace at the notable Getreidegasse street.
We'll see the university church Kollegienkirche and wander around the Residenzplatz, home to Baroque landmarks such as Salzburg Cathedral and the Residenz. You won’t miss hidden gems such as the Mariensäule fountain in Domplatz, and the Sphera (Goldene Kugel) and Kapitelschwemme in Kapitelplatz, which is also the best spot in the Old Town to see the hilltop Hohensalzburg Fortress from below.
