Travelers are picked up from their accommodation in time for the scenic drive along the N2 freeway heading to Port Elizabeth along the coast. The qualified driver or guide will give a brief explanation of this exciting return trip to the Southern tip of Africa.
You then drive past the Cape Town international airport and the townships. You also drive past the biggest township in Cape Town - Khayelitsha. Look out for the endless sea of sharks or the squatters stretching all the way to the ocean. You then drive past Somerset West residential area and over the mountain with amazing views of Somerset West.
You then drive past Grabow and the Apple country this is one of the most scenic parts of the drive with jagged edge rolling mountains on the left. You then get to the farming communities with wind farms, sheep and the attractive yellow canola in season.
These sprawling farms will take you to Bredasdorp - an old town in the Southern Overberg region. This is also home to the only Shipwreck Museum known to humankind. You then drive to Cape Agulhas which is a beautiful quaint village known for its location the Southern tip of Africa. There are some tourist activities like cycling, fishing, cruising and much more.
The main attraction is of course the Lighthouse and the tip - The most Southern tip of Africa. There is a monument built by the local authorities to mark the spot.
