Today, you have the perfect opportunity to become an even better coffee lover and to experience Medellín's flower culture.
The morning is designed for you to observe, taste, and truly understand how to identify the best coffee by sight, aroma, and flavor.
We will guide you inside the coffee fields as you explore the different coffee varieties, learn how the finca workers select the ripest red cherries, and observe the quality selection process performed by the machines. You’ll also witness the drying and roasting process, culminating in a smooth, rich cup of Colombian coffee.
After a delicious local lunch, we will visit the flower farm, where local farmers will share their expertise in cultivating flowers that are later used to create the “Silletas” a wooden back frames decorated with flowers. In August, these “Silletas” are showcased at Medellín’s "Feria de las Flores", a celebration where local artisans compete to display their creations to both locals and international visitors.

During our visit, we’ll immerse ourselves in the world of flower cultivation, learning about the various types of flowers they grow, which are later harvested to create the finest “Silletas” for Medellín’s iconic "Feria de las Flore" the most beautiful fair Colombia holds each August.
A “Silleta” is a unique form of handmade art, crafted from flowers grown on the farm and later attached to a wooden chair frame, which locals carry on their backs through the city. This allows visitors from across Colombia and the world to appreciate the beauty of this traditional art.
The locals also compete to make the best “Silleta” in Medellín, with each artisan striving to outshine the rest and showcase the very best of this rich cultural tradition.
