About this experience

Hike to the tropical paradise of Praia Do Sono, also known as Sono Beach. Your guided 1-hour trek takes you from Laranjeiras Village through preserved jungle with an experienced guide. Spot wildlife on the river trail en route to the beach, where you’ll enjoy several hours of free time on its powdery sand before trekking back. Translated as Sleepy Beach, this secluded shoreline lives up to its name!

Departure from Paraty to Laranjeiras Village in a 40 minute drive. Upon arrival, you will begin the hike to Sono’s Beach in a in a mid-level track and lasting an hour and a half on average (2.5 miles).

During the trek, tourists pass through a preserved area of rainforest inside the AIPA of Cairuçu (Ambient Protection Area of Cairuçu). Inside this area, you can see many different kinds of vegetation, birds, animals, rivers (where you can refresh yourself)

Stop 2

at the end of the trail, Sono Beach with its powdery sand and crystal clear waters. There is a traditional fishing village, home to about 300 inhabitants. There they seek their own support with local fishing and services to tourists. For those who want, there is optional lunch (not included), which always has fresh fish.

You will have 3 hours approximately to swim, relax and enjoy this beach paradise before returning to Laranjeiras Village by the same trail. There is a return option by boat to the track start location, approximatelly U$ 8,00 per person. An extremely pleasant tour, mostly because of the high contact with nature.
