Heart of Florence Guided Walking Tour
Led by a local professional guide, your day will start with a comprehensive Walking Tour, discovering the most iconic sights of Renaissance and Medieval Florence. You will first explore the Medici district, where you will admire the famous Medici Palace, built in the mid 15th century and the first residence of the powerful and proud family, the ancient San Lorenzo Church and the Medici Chapels, with their mausoleum.
A few steps away, you will be breathless in front of the beauty of the monumental complex of the Duomo, with the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the iconic Brunelleschi's Dome, the elegant Giotto's Bell Tower and the beautiful Romanesque Baptistery of San Giovanni, with its golden “Porta del Paradiso.
The tour then goes through the characteristic streets of the medieval district where Dante and Beatrice lived and where you can also admire the imposing and unique Church of Orsanmichele, a masterpiece of Florentine Gothic art, adorned with the statues of the patron saints of the powerful medieval trading guilds.
