Stop 1

After pick up from your hotel, We take a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard with the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other, passing through Clifton, Camps Bay, Llandudno, and Hout Bay. We stop at Maiden's Cove for a photo opportunity with magnificent views of the Twelve Apostles as a backdrop. This cove is one of the best places in Cape Town to take panoramic photos of the Ocean, Camps Bay Beach combined with the views of Table Mountain, Lion's Head and the beautiful suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay, etc... We call this the Kodak moment.

2
Stop 2

Departing from Camps Bay, we drive along Chapman's Peak and stop at the viewpoint for spectacular photos. It is little wonder that Chapman's Peak is one of the most scenic routes in the world.

3
Stop 3

Our tour culminates with the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point Lighthouse. Here we will explore the Dias & Vasco Da Gama, Crosses. These two gentlemen were the first early Europeans who arrived in Cape Town around 1487 & 1495. Should you wish to hike, please speak to your guide. Kindly put on comfortable walking shoes, bring sun block and a jersey or jacket, hat.

4

From the Cape of Good Hope, we will have the option to either take a short hike to Cape Point or take the Funicular. Lunch can also be enjoyed at either Two Oceans restaurant for a sit-down meal or at the informal eatery for a take out. Here we will also explore the most south-western point of Africa, known as the Cape Point, where the cold Benguela from the Atlantic Ocean, meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean. We will explore the lighthouse, etc.

5

Our next stop will be at Simon's town the Penguins colony in Boulders beach, where your guide will escort you to the viewing point to see some of the 2500 breeding pairs of African Penguins at close range. You may even find one or two of these enchanting creatures walking alongside you on the boardwalk. The African craft Market is also there for some beautiful hand crafted African art.

This is where you will be having your Lunch, the driver will suggest a restaurant.

6

Our last stop before heading to Constantia wine tasting is at the colorful Muizenberg beach houses, see the most famous beautiful color houses surrounded by muizenberg mountains and enjoy the sea breeze, take pictures and then after we will be heading back to Cape town to begin our wine tasting tour.

7

After Muzingberg we will set off on our Constantia Winelands private tour which we have dubbed: The Simon van der Stel wine tour. We will travel from Cape Town along the M3 passing Rhodes Memorial and the University of Cape Town (UCT) and proceed on the M41 to our first wine stop for the day which is Constantia Glen wine estate. Perched high up on the hill with amazing views of mountains and vineyards, Constantia Glen was originally part of the Simon van der Stel farm. After undergoing farming changes including forest hills farming and cattle stud farming, it returned to its original farming of wine. The wine production is 70% Red and 30% White cultivars.

8
Stop 8

We then proceed to the historical Groot (meaning Big) Constantia wine estate. Groot Constantia is the oldest wine producing farm in South Africa since 1685 and even after the farm had changed ownership, it still maintains the production of high quality, award-winning wine. The farm produces 70% Red and 30% White cultivars. We can recommend a beautiful lunch either at Simon’s Restaurant or at Jonkershuis Restaurant, both set on this exquisite wine estate.

9

Our next stop is at Klein (meaning Little) Constantia wine estate. Set on the foothills of the Constantiaberg, with spectacular views across False Bay, Klein Constantia was also part of the Constantia farm by Simon van der Stel in 1685. Through its decomposed granite soil slopes and cool ocean breeze, Klein Constantia produces some of South Africa’s top wine. The farm produces 30% Red and 70% White cultivars.

10

We end of our Simon van der Stel wine tour with Buitenverwachting (meaning Beyond expectation) wine estate. This too, had formed part of the original Constantia farm which was found by Simon van der Stel. Even though it changed ownership, they retraced the roots of the estate and restored the historical buildings on the farm. The farm produces 8 % Red, 90% White and 2 % Rose cultivars. From there we make our way back to Cape Town where guests will be dropped off back at their accommodation.
