We will board our Voyageur Canoe at the Centre Island and will learn how to paddle in a team, just as the Voyageurs were doing long ago. All of us will be wearing life jackets and I will be with you in the canoe helping you with the correct canoe strokes and talking about the islands and the Fur Trade History. We will take brakes to look at some flora and fauna and take numerous pictures. A must do visit will be to the Toronto Harbour for the most Instagramable photo opportunity with the magnificent city skyline. In this 1hr program we will see the most of the park. The Toronto Islands Archipelago stretches for some 5 km and consisted of some 15 islands. We will paddle through the sheltered and picturesque channels to have a special magical perspective on the islands. The islands' park is located in a close proximity to the Toronto downtown and is accessible by a short - 10min - ferry ride. It is rightfully considered the most beautiful park and while there are usually many visitors in the park, the waterways are calm and secluded.
We will paddle a big canoe to see some of nicest places of the Toronto Islands. Your guide will be in the same canoe with you and you can ask any questions about canoeing, the islands or anything else, at any time. We will paddle at sunset and will get to some of the best lookout points for the city skyline viewing and photo opportunities. You can learn how to paddle and have a good relaxing experience, while exercising, at the same time.
