Meet us at our base at Sólheimajökull Parking Lot. Driving time from Reykjavík is 2.5 hours. Drive along Road 1 on the South Coast, then take a left turn on Road 221. After ca. 5 minute drive, you will reach the starting point.

From the West (Reykjavík): 6 km after Skógar you turn left (just after the bridge) onto road 221 (gravel road) and then follow road 221 for about 5 km to the Sólheimajökull Café parking area. (Expected 20 - 30 min. for this part).
Driving from the East (Vík):
3 km after you pass road 222, you turn right (just before the one way bridge) onto road 221 (gravel road) and then follow road 221 for about 5 km to the Sólheimajökull Café parking area. (Expected 20 - 30 min. for this part).
