We also stop off at some beautiful sceneries along the way into/out of Þórsmörk, including Gígjökull, an Eyjafjallajökull outlet glacier from where a major glacial flood grandly cascaded during the 2010 eruption.
We will take few stops to hike, the hike is about 8 km. The path is uneven at times and the route takes you uphill and downhill.
After turning from Road 1, you will see Seljalandfoss on your right, keep going, after 7 minutes, once the paved road is over, you will be on gravel for less than a minute.
