About this experience

Are you looking for a combination of heritage and a mountain nature tour not far from the capital Bishkek? This is the tour to go for. We will visit the ancient 11th century Burana minaret in ancient city of Balasagun, you can also climb the tower using ancient brick and wood stairs and overlook the beautiful valley from top of the tower. Good spot for taking pictures. Then we will visit petroglifs site and the museum to see the historic artifacts and items used by nomad cultures.
Then we will continue the journey to Konorchek Canyon, enjoy the natural reserve, flat alpine trail (2kms) and picturesque canyon with beautiful red formations. The canyons are accessible all year around as it does not snow in the area.
After hike we will stop for lunch at the traditional Kyrgyz kattama cafe.
Please read before booking (!): there are 4 rock barriers from 1 meter to 3 meters which should be climbed on the way to canyon. Make sure to wear non slippery shoes and athletic clothing.
