About this experience

Nomadic Hospitality of Mongolia has been offering quality tour services in Mongolia since 2018. We are two University of Nevada Las Vegas graduates who do our tours personally. Which means we will have proficient English speakers with western cultural understandings as your guides. Our main goal is safety and comfort of our customers. Our main philosophy is to be your best friends in Mongolia, we will try our best to give our customers the feeling of visiting their long known friends.
This destination is the most traveled destination for tourists and locals alike in Mongolia. Please prepare for long drive in car ( at least 4 hours driving each day ). Travelers can see real natural beauties of Mongolia during this trip. Certainly the Semi-Gobi sand dunes are the main attraction for this tour, plus we will visit old capital Kharkhorum. With this one day trip travelers can experience mountains, grassland, nomadic lifestyle, herds and animals, and desert.

Detailed itinerary

Emeelt is located right outside of the city proper. It is a big industrial area, where travelers can see different parts of Ulaanbaatar. The travel time is 3 hours and 30 minutes.

One of the first modern rest stops in Mongolia. They have restrooms, coffee shop, restaurant, and store. Guests will have 30 min free time.

-Just on the entrance of Semi-Gobi area we will stop at rest stop area for rest.
- For lunch we will arrive our nomadic Mongolian family.
- Then we will arrive at the sand dunes of Elsen Tasarkhai (local name for Semi-Gobi). Where guests will ride two humped bactrian camels around the sand dunes.
- At Semi-Gobi travelers will enjoy hiking and exploring different sand dunes and small desert forests in between
- Lastly we will drive to Kharkhorum. In Kharkhorum we will visit the main Museum then to Erdene Zuu monestary.

Hugune Tarani is Buddhist monastery in the national park. We will visit the monastery and explore the area. Some people can do meditation or prayer.
- From here our trip will end, and we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Drive will take around 3 hours.

- Kharkhorin has 20,000 residence, it is becoming one of the liveliest towns in Mongolia.
- Our first stop will be Kharkhorum Museum. It is very informative small museum.

- Erdene Zuu is the oldest surviving Buddhist temple in Mongolia. The main temple complex is turned into museum.
- The whole complex is built using old bricks and stones of Kharkorum ruin
