Short stop at Virpazar town where you will hear about the historical role of this place in WWII and take a short stroll and take some nice pictures.
We will visit village Godinje positioned in the hills above the lake that represents authentic settlement built through the medieval in the period when locals needed to defend their homes from the surrounding Empires. We will visit local household and its winery, taste local products and drink some homemade wine. Our host will give us an introduction about his village, its history and its interesting architecture with houses that have mutual walls, closely placed, and he will explain us how that was important for their life in medieval times.
We resume our journey in the direction of Ulcinj. The Old road will take us through the high hills and old villages where you will have great view on lake Skadar, its coast and islands. On clear days you will be able to see other side of the lake, country of Albania and town Skadar. We can take as many breaks you like as the viewpoints here are amazing.
When we arrive at the Adriatic coast, optionally we can visit the river Bojana zone and have the drink or food on board of the river. Zone of river Bojana and its river island presents one of the most untouched zones of our beautiful coast.
When we arrive in Ulcinj you will be amazed by the medieval to modern times stories surrounding Old Town Ulcinj. One of them includes the story of the famous writer Miguel de Cervantes and his captivity in Old Town. You will see Balsica Tower, Slave Market, and palaces from the Venetian period. After the walking tour, you will have some leisure time for shopping, coffee.
