This peninsula was once home to an ancient taro-producing Hawaiian village, and much of the land is still taro fields today.

Waikani Falls is often referred to as Three Bears, thanks to the three separate but parallel falls of differing lengths. But don’t let the idea of a baby bear waterfall fool you: Waikani Falls cascades from a height of seventy feet to Wailua Nui Stream down below.

This is the place to stop if you're looking for a typically Hawaiian swimming hole and waterfall to swim under. The water is from a natural spring, unbelievably clean, but very cold.
