On this tour you will explore the historic sites in Stavanger and discover the story of the city. This is perfect for solo travelers and those traveling together! Go at your own pace. Stop and go when you want! This tour is smartphone guided and you can go anytime, 24/7/365. You'll get the inside scoop and local history and see the oldest part of the city, Gamle Stavanger, the oldest church in Norway, the most colorful street, the largest collection of wooden houses in Scandinavia, the old watch tower, the murals, museums, statues and of course you’ll see the harbor. As you walk you’ll learn about the fishing industry, the oil industry, the historic center, the artists, the saints arm, the food, the Vikings and the local culture. You'll explore the streets and see the outside of the oldest residential house in Stavanger as you discover the history of the area, the city and the people.

You 'll see the harbor, the sailors statue and learn the history of sailors from the Vikings to modern day.

The oldest church in Norway and it has an amazing story. You'll stand outside the church and discovery it's history.

Canning was big business here. It made the city what it is and employed the majority of the people. You'll stop outside the museum and hear the story.

The old fire town stands high about the town. Learn it's history and stories.

The "color street" has a story all it's own, you'll hear how this popular street started and why it has so many colors. You'll also learn about one of the best places to eat!

The tour ends at the Geoparken just outside the Petroleum Museum. See parts of the oil industry and hear about the history of oil in Norway.
