Bhaktapur durbar square is the most worth visiting ancient palace square in Kathmandu. You will see the medieval period (golden era of Nepalese art and architecture) temple, monument all around the corners and mocks. You will visit the tallest temple of Nepal, pottery sqaure, Royal palace square etc.
Pashupatinath is the Supreme GOD of the Hindu where you will how people pay homage to their god. Along the river side, you will the cremating bodies and strolling holy man.
Swyambhunath is one of the holiest site the Buddhist from all over the world. You will see the great stupa, the Vajra, Gumpas, Lama, The mani wheel around the premises. It has a nice overlooking downtown view and Himalaya in the horizon.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of the most worth visiting Site (ancient palace) in Kathmandu. You will see the master piece of Nepalese art and architecture from centuries old. You see the tallest temple of Nepal, pottery square, dattatriya square, Durbar squre , golden gate and ancient royal bath center.

It is a great Shiva temple in a multi roof (pagoda in style), the supreme GOD of the Hindu. You will how they pay their homage to the god and cremating the body along the side of river. You will see the Sadhus (holy man) around offering you a tika. More than 2 thousand years old temple listed in as UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It is one of the great Stupa which is believed a holiest site to the Buddhist. The stupa premises has mani wheels, Ajima temple, Nagpur, Pratap Pur and other interesting spots. There are Gumpas to see the lama and Buddhsit culture. It has a nice overlooking downtown Himalaya far in the horizon.
