This Experience will lead you to a village with a hidden treasure of history and culture for about 45 min drive from Moshi town. This is Kibosho which is located adjacent slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is home to one of the oldest Catholic Church in Tanzania. You will have an opportunity to visit a 120-year-old Kibosho Catholic Church at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro is a stunning structure composed entirely of stones. It was built by the Germans in 1893 and is located in the midst of the banana plantations in the area. On arrival you will be given a tour of the church and the history of this magnificent building will be explained in-depth for 30 minutes. thereafter we will start a hike in amazing hills with wonderful sceneries viewing the Kibo the peak of Kilimanjaro. Here you will meet locals and learn the history of Chagga and their livelihoods. The green scenaries of the old-growth tree, coffee and banana plantations, history and culture is a rewarding experience for this tour. It is truly an unforgettable experience.
