In addition to lavender, Furano offers attractions like Ningle Terrace, a charming forest village of wooden cottages selling local crafts, and the Furano Cheese Factory, where visitors can sample unique cheeses and even participate in cheese-making. In winter, Furano transforms into a popular ski resort with powdery snow and stunning alpine vistas. One of the oldest flower fields in Japan, it has been transformed from the former lavender to a large pastoral farm with as many as 150 kinds of flowers. Lavender blooms usually in June start,The winter greenhouse opens to the public in mid-August, and you can see various plants such as lavender and geraniums. In addition to lavender, other varieties of flowers are also planted in the garden. There are saffron from mid-April, daffodils, tulips and so on in May. Climbing to the top of the flower field, you can see the scenery of Furano Basin and the Tokachi mountain range in the field of lavender.
