Our group hike starts at the picturesque pass of El Aserrador, the ideal entry point to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Gran Canaria. At 8 km and an altitude difference of 350 meters, a moderate route full of history and breathtaking nature awaits us. The Roque Nublo, a majestic monolith and sacred mountain of the natives, is perched as the guardian of the island and is only accessible on foot.
We cross the magical landscape of Cumbre Central with fragrant pine forests, deep gorges and spectacular panoramas all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. The spiritual energy of this place is palpable. The ascent requires a special permit as Roque Nublo is a protected cultural heritage site. At the summit, the imposing monolith awaits us, a symbol of strength and connection with nature.
