Your guide will greet you at the Interlaken Train Station, before whisking you away to Grindelwald.

Once you have reached Grindelwald, the hiking tour will begin with your guide escorting you through the main center of the village. Our expert guide will provide information about the roots and history of the area while pointing you toward the best local attractions.
Grindelwald is a beautiful scenic village situated at 1,034 ft above sea level, with chalets scattered across hilly terrain.

So, no matter how cold it is, you won’t need to worry about strong winds whipping your face and ruining your day! Sometimes, there are markets in Grindelwald for you to explore, trying little snacks to prepare you for the rest of your journey to Mount First.

From Grindelwald, you can take the cable car up to Grindelwald First, which is a minor summit situated on the face of Mount Schwazhorn. Its primary purpose is as a cable car station, but there are plenty of attractions to enjoy during your visit.

With a range of endrenaline-fueled activiites, fine dining, and stunning vantage points on offer, you won’t be stuck for something to do once you arrive at Mount First following your cable car ride. Or, you might prefer to have some leisure time and delicious food at the First Mountain Restaurant.

It may be rather cold at this altitude. Wrap up warm so you can be humbled by the sheer vastness of the mountainside.

Once you’ve spent some time at Mount First, you’ll be able to begin your hike to Bachalpsee. Your tour guide will lead you and it will be a 6 kilometer hike in total. Stretch your legs and breathe completely clean and fresh air, taking in your surroundings and the quiet atmosphere. You can expect to walk around 50 minutes both to and from the lake.

The crisp and clean waters of the lake are a renewing experience that you’ll remember for a lifetime.

After a full day of adventure, your guide will return you safely to Interlaken.
