I am a local expert hiking leader at While mountains range (incluted Gigilos).
Gigilos is a mountain impresive, wild, with its own haracter.l have been numerous of times to Gigilos by my own and with costumers.
I know everything about the perfecture and its history plants and animals. My family is also from the surround area and in the past we all were people from the mountains.
Every one who can be at Gigilos peak can have a great idea how is the west side of the White mountains range. And the feeling of the difference of the altitute plus the suround view and the wildness of the greist white colour of the rock in a complete alpine zone is unbeleivable.

We are going to have a drive to Omalos plateu 1240m altitute for almost an hour. From there we will hike up to 2080m altitute to Gigilos peak and back. The way with the car is crossing Agyia valley at first and then it continius up to the mountains passing trought small villages and finally ending to Omalos plateu.
There starts the hike on a stipy path with view to the gorge of Samaria , the picks of the White mountains and the Omalos plateu. For tje first part we meet some trees like cypresses and prunus with strange shape usually because of the weather conditions all over the year (snow, wind e.t.s.). Then the path goes trought some tall rocks(the towers of Gigilos) that looks like towers and trought also an arch named Xepitira.
The option becomes more and more wild as the formations of the mountain is such and starts the alpine zone. After 1h.from the start of the hike there is a spring with fresh water that you can drink and feel your bottle.Hiking father up the path becomes more stipy until a shoulder named Linoseli 1700m altitute. There you have view to Tripiti gorge and Lybian sea also. Continiu, also climb a little you get to the peak.Goergus, surround view. The same way back.
