A restored 16th-century salmon-colored church and bell tower sits on a hill above the city. Views are the main reason to climb here. But if you open it to look inside.

Izola's most beautiful building - although it looks slightly worse worn - is a Late Baroque palace beneath the Parish Church of St Maurus. The mansion was built between 1775 and 1781. It has beautiful stucco-adorned windows and porch, painted light blue. It is now a music school.

On the Veliki trg is the to1wn hall, now the office of the local council. It was built in the Gothic style in 1325; But the current Baroque façade dates back to the 17th century.

This central church dates back to the 11th century and has been lovingly restored. There is no opening time but generally leave it open during the day.

The Venetian-Gothic Manzioli house was built in 1470 and was the residence of the 16th-century Istrian historian. It now houses the Italian Community Trustees (Italian community) in Isola and wine bar.
