The Monastery of Agios Gerasimos in Kefalonia is considered one of the most sacred pilgrimage places of the island, receiving a great number of visitors yearly. The Saint had also planted three plane trees, which are still preserved at the monastery, as are three wells that he is said to have dug with his hands. Visitors can also see his hermitage, accessible from inside the church. It consists of two underground rooms that can be reached by a narrow path and a staircase.

3

The Cephalonia Robola Wine Cooperative (established in 1982) collects and processes almost 85% of the total produce of Robola wine grapes. The island of Cephalonia is the most mountainous Ionian island and without any doubt, it hosts some of the most important vineyards in Greece. The mountainous morphology, the sunshine, the altitude, the variety of the mesoclimates and the marine aura favour viniculture, which is characterized by low yield per stremma and high quality.

4

The Drogarati Cave in Kefalonia was discovered 300 years ago and opened to the public in 1963. It was discovered when a strong earthquake caused a collapse that revealed the cave's entrance. Drogarati is an impressive cave with remarkable formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Speleologists state that this cave is about 150 million years old and constitutes a rare geological phenomenon. The cave is about 60m deep and has a constant temperature of 18ΊC. The humidity of the cave reaches 90%.

5

Sami is a beautiful coastal town with a population of 1000 inhabitants, most of whom are engaged in agriculture and fishing.
Sami hosts one of the island's main ports, receiving ferries from Patra, Astakos, Ithaca and Italy. It is built close to ancient Sami, one of the most important archeological discoveries in Kefalonia. Sami is a perfect destination for your summer holidays in Greece. The delightful waterfront, wide paved streets and Venetian buildings offer the village a unique charm and reflect its rich heritage.

6

Situated just outside Sami, the Cave of Melissani in Kefalonia has a strange appeal. It is one of the most significant places for tourists to visit in Greece. Surprisingly, a lake lies inside the cave, with trees and forests surrounding it.

7

Karavomilos Lake is one of Kefalonia’s most charming spots while being of great geological and biological importance at the same time; geologically, as it connects through an underground network of caves with the Katavothres of Argostoli, and biologically, since its biodiversity is impressive, being the home of many endemic species!

8

Agia Efimia is a stunning fishing village on the eastern coast of Kefalonia, only a 15-minute drive away from the town of Sami! Hosting a small port facing Ithaca, this village has plenty of fisherman’s boats, as well as rental boats/flotilla sailing experiences, ideal for deluxe trips around the island.

9

Around 36 km north of Argostoli, the capital city of Kefalonia, lies the tiny yet enhancing village of Assos, a hidden, artistically beautiful place that will provide you with a very relaxing experience and is worth visiting!
This small village is one of the must-sees due to its harmonic mixture of picturesque elements.

The beach of Myrtos is, undoubtedly, one of the main poles of attraction in Kefalonia. It is located 29 km north of Argostoli, in a beautiful area around huge verdant hills. Myrtos has gained a worldwide reputation and has been constantly included in travel magazines among the most beautiful and impressive beaches in the world. It has been awarded many times for its cleannes The natural beauty of Myrtos is the trademark of Kefalonia and one of the most photographed places in Greece.

11

Fiscardo Village is located 49.5 km north of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia. Lapped in hills carpeted with cypresses and olive trees, this quaint fishing village is so beautiful that it was added to Project Natura 2000 for its protection. It boasts its own port but also a marina that is considered a boaters’ paradise and is densely packed with yachts in the summertime.
